Police in Gloucester Township NJ are searching for a man accused of committing a bank robbery in the Blackwood area of the township. The bank robbery went down around 10:30 a.m. at the TD Bank located on College Drive in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. The suspect reportedly walked into the bank building, approached a bank teller, and demanded that the employee hand over cash. It is unclear at this time if the suspect used a firearm or some other kind of weapon while committing the theft. Once the suspect had the money, he allegedly placed it in a backpack and then ran out of the TD Bank. The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot. Gloucester Township cops soon arrived at the scene of the robbery, but the suspect was long gone. Despite canvassing the area in search of the suspect, police officers could not find him. In the hopes of spurring the investigation, Gloucester County detectives recently released a detailed description of the suspect. The bank robber has been described as a white male who stands roughly 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. According to witnesses, the suspect tried to obscure his face by wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap while committing the bank robbery. Law enforcement has asked for the public’s assistance in tracking down the bank robbery. Anyone who has information about the suspect of the theft incident should get in touch with Gloucester Township police. Anyone who comes into contact with the suspect should immediately dial 911 and alert local police officers because the man is considered extremely dangerous. If police can eventually locate and capture the suspect, he would probably face serious criminal charges for robbery and theft of movable property. It is also possible that he could be charged with various weapons offenses, depending on the circumstances of the bank robbery.
